0bama wasn't a house hold name yet. He wasn't able to tell everyone that they hate their own insurance companies and that they were rejecting their claims. They have been parroting the same rhetoric ever since.

Revenue does not equal profit.
Insurance companies, on average, make about 4% profit. That is a very slim margin

Wise people have been complaining and protesting about that for years now. Maybe not the GOP or people who had their hands greased by the evil insurance companies. Those dogs don't bite the hand that feeds it. One looks out for the other. I've worked for a big insurance company and saw the shady dealings first hand. They're crooked as he!!. The employee turn over there was very high. People (myself included) didn't like being treated like robots and lying to policy holders on a daily basis. Down with the crooked corporation pigs.
