The parts manager asks, "How big is this part?" The kid makes a circle with his hands, about three inches big.

Finally, the manager asks, "Can you draw me a picture?" The kid draws a cap and writes "710" on it.

I recently got a 1978 Datsun 280Z , as a gift. it is in excellent condition like if it just rolled off the show room floor. everyone who sees it is blown away. it has everything original . as far as interior/chrome/only thing different is the radio which is still ancient from the 80s . there is no straches . i have seen 280z on the street and mine literally blows them out of the water ? so would you know the price? ive checked on ebay and they are going 10,000-20,000. and seriously mine is nicer than all the ones i have seen

ok, im having trouble finding the right rims for my car, 72 datsun 510, i was looking for rims like this Click Here but the whole camber, offset, struts, its all gettting me real confused. first of all im planning on lowering my car, how much i dont know. i plan on running everything else stock, camber angle, struts, brakes. first off what is the maximum amount of offset i can run say with a 15x6 wheel? can i even fit one that wide? please explain it all to me im really conufsed about the whole thing and i dont know where to start.
@ matt, the reason i asked this question is because i dont see the info anywhere on the net ive looked at blogs and forums, but they are not specific at what they did
also, what can i run offset and width wise? for example a 15x6 with -30 offset? can i run that with no flares? if i want to put wider rims, what do i have to do other than flare my fenders?

I'm thinking of buying a classic car as a weekend driver. I'm after something affordable and reliable. I've seen a few I like such as an MG BGT, VW Karmann Ghia or a Datsun 240Z (bit of a mix, I know). I dont mind doing a bit of work to it but I'm a complete novice so I'll be learning on the job.

Can anyone recommend anything worth a look at (not specific listings but makes/models)? I'm open to all ideas at this point but I dont want anything notoriously difficult.

I currently have a 1987 porsche 944s. I did some work on it (new belts, tires, dash cover, body and paint work, window switches and exhaust) but it needs some more. (I dont mind doing work) My neighbor is selling his 78 280z 2+2 which is in decent shape. I get first dibs. It needs minor paint work, dash cover and the other seat installed but is otherwise perfect. Im torn between the 2 because I can't afford both and dont have the space. I know that the 2+2 is an undesireable model though. I also dont know what they are worth. I think I could get it for 6k but havent offered yet. Opinions?
The porsche isnt that expensive to maintain. It's not a daily driver either. Just a car to tool around in. KBB only goes to 1990 vehicles. I tried.
